The Latin Network for the Visual Arts (LNVA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization whose mission is to enrich the community through the visual arts created by contemporary Latin artists whose roots lie in countries where the Romance Languages are spoken.
Established in 2003, the LNVA exhibits contemporary fine art
ranging from the figurative to abstract in painting, sculpture and photography.
The LNVA has an all voluntary Board of Directors and Advisory Council whose membership helps the organization achieve its mission.
Through its Latin Views biennial exhibitions, the LNVA has established its identity in the international community. The exhibits have received excellent press coverage in Connecticut and Florida newspapers. Through a series of other bilingual educational and cultural programs, LNVA has also developed a strong local presence, serving the community. In developing these projects, the LNVA has established multiple local and international collaborators.
The LNVA is pleased to make its cultural and educational programs available at no cost to the community. LNVA projects are financed primarily by the generous contributions of private individuals with additional funding coming from corporate matching funds, grants and the support of some local businesses.
On September 15, 2007, the first day of Hispanic Heritage month, LNVA was honored with the "Arts and Culture" Award from the Hispanic Professional Network at a ceremony in Hartford, CT. |
