Projects in Development

The LNVA is currently in the development stages of a new project, Color Outside the Lines. The primary goal of the Color Outside the Lines project is to enrich the lives of children and young adults by challenging their artistic imagination. This goal is consistent with the LNVA’s mission of enriching the community through visual arts created by contemporary Latin artists.

Children and young adults will receive instruction regarding the definition of Latin countries, that is, countries where Romance languages are spoken, which include some European, African and all of the Latin American countries. They will be asked to represent the concept of "Latin" through visual arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, etc.); Latin artists will judge their work. The outcome objective is to have approximately 500 children and young adults participate in the Color Outside the Lines project in the fall of the year of implementation. The process objective is to find the maximum number of educators from April through June of that year who will commit to encouraging their students to participate in this project.
